Hart Swimming Club 3rd place in National Arena League
Hart Swimming Club stormed to a strong 3rd Place finish in the latest round of the National Arena League swimming competition.
Held on Saturday at Maidenheads multi-million £ new leisure Centre, Hart SC took on Windsor, Bracknell & Wokingham, Maidenhead, Farnham & Newbury in a tough fought 2nd round event in the South League, Division 1 West.
Maidenhead Marlins took the spoils with a commanding 207 points, followed by Bracknell & Wokingham with 167 points, with Hart SC just behind on 155 points.
Hart SC’s Head Coach, Darren Buchan said “We swam with a lot of passion and hunger on Saturday evening against extremely tough competition. Having only been promoted into this Division a couple of seasons ago, we are doing so well. We showed quality across all ages groups. Massive thanks to Ella, Thomas, Heidi, Zach & Ethan in the 11 & Under’s. JiJi, Amy, Amelia, Raul, Luke in the 13 & Unders, Tamsin, Christina, Jack, Zachary, Layla, Max, Ruby, Nikoline, Katie & Henry in the 15 & Unders and Kathrine, James, Imogen, Charlie, Balaz, Dan, William, Emily, Alex, Emma in the 16+ age groups.
Hart SC currently sit joint 7th out of 18 teams in the League table with one more Round to go.
Chairman, Spencer Farmer added “ We’re all really excited for the next round on 11th December. We will be taking on some real quality again with the likes of Guildford City, Windsor, Basingstoke Bluefins, Epsom & Littlehampton. Hopefully we can push further up the table and round of a great return to competitive swimming in 2021!”
As well as the National Arena League success, Hart Swimming club had 3 swimmers competing in the Swim England South East Regional Winter Championships on 6th & 7th November in Winchesters brand new Sports facility. Katherine Cairney, Tamsin Wheeler and Emma Jones all competed over the weekend with very strong performances. Katherine achieved PB’s in all her events has also qualified for the National Championship in early December in Backstroke.
