INFORMATION FOR NEW MEMBERS

Please Note: prices are subject to change due to ASA membership price band changes. As soon as I have the new prices this page will be updated.

 

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

 

There is an annual membership fee of £20 (£10 for any subsequent child). The membership runs from September 1st to August 31st . Parents are invited to join our non swimming membership. This is an annual cost of £6 and enables the member to vote at any General Meetings and also provides poolside insurance.

 

A.S.A. REGISTRATION

 

Annual ASA registration is required by the ASA. The year runs from 1st January to 31st December. Fees fall into three categories - 

a) Swimmers who do not compete in open competitions -£2.35 (This will be the category for new members)

b) Swimmers aged 10 years and under who compete in open competitions . - £5.80

c) Swimmers aged 11 years and over. who compete in open competitions - £17.50

 

This registration is collected annually in January along with the fees for that term.

 

TRAINING AND FEES

 

All Shrimps and Swordfish are expected to train at least twice a week. Older swimmers normally train more regularly.

 

Fees are paid in 15, 16 or 17 week terms, due on 1st January, May & September. The cost varies as to how many sessions are swum each week. At the moment 2/3 sessions a week will cost approx. £8.50 which will be a total of £128 for a 15 week term. Fees are paid by monthly Standing Order (or with a single cheque at the beginning of each term.

 

Hart Swimming Club swim in the National Speedo Swimming League South - Division 2 West. Most of our swimmers progress to representing the Club at these galas. We also participate in Open Meets of all standards where swimmers have the opportunity of individual achievement leading right up to the U.K. National Championships. We encourage our swimmers to enter these events to develop their swimming skills in competition.

 

SWIM SHOP

 

We have a swim shop on the first Sunday of each month. You will locate it in the poolside wall between both pools from about 7.15 pm. onwards. You will be able to purchase any training equipment needed and Club costumes/trunks, hats and tracksuits (all at discount prices). If selected to swim for the club you will be expected to wear the club colours, and if possible the Club tracksuit.

For training you will need to purchase the following equipment:- float, pullbuoy, flippers, costume/trunks (not shorts) and goggles.

 

ALL GIRLS AND BOYS WITH LONG HAIR MUST WEAR A SWIMMING HAT
